Senden Sie SMS-Textnachrichten an Handys von AIM auf iChat

Der Titel sagt alles, Sie können SMS-Nachrichten über AIM, Nachrichten oder iChat senden und empfangen, indem Sie diese einfachen Anweisungen befolgen. Wenn Sie dazu neigen, gibt es sogar ein einfaches Bash-Skript, das Ihnen erlaubt, über diese Befehlszeile mit iChat zu interagieren. Dies ist ein guter Tipp, und anscheinend ist die Fähigkeit, SMS-Nachrichten über das AIM-Protokoll zu senden, schon eine Weile her, und es funktioniert immer noch so lange, wie Sie AIM-Setup haben.

Senden einer SMS-Nachricht von AIM / iChat

  1. Drücken Sie Befehl-Umschalt-N, um ein neues Chat-Fenster zu öffnen
  2. Geben Sie die Telefonnummer ein, für die Sie eine SMS im folgenden Format erstellen möchten: +18005551212
  3. +1 ist die Ländervorwahl für die USA. Wenn Sie also andere Länder ausprobieren möchten, ändern Sie sie entsprechend. +44 für Großbritannien, +49 für Deutschland usw
    • Hinweis: Ich habe das nur in den USA getestet, also keine Garantien mit anderen Ländern
  4. Geben Sie Ihre Nachricht ein und klicken Sie auf Senden
  5. Jetzt können Sie mit jedem Mobiltelefon über IM und SMS kommunizieren

Wie Sie den Screenshots entnehmen können, erhalten Sie oft eine Nachricht, die bestätigt, dass die Sofortnachricht an einen Mobilfunkanbieter gesendet wurde. Da AIM dies ermöglicht, sollte dieser Tipp technisch auch für Adium und andere AIM unterstützende Protokolle funktionieren, aber ich habe sie nicht getestet.

Neue Versionen von OS X unterstützen übrigens das native Senden und Empfangen von SMS-Nachrichten in der App "Nachrichten", die über das iPhone selbst abgewickelt werden. Das ist eine bessere Lösung für moderne Macs, die neue Software mit einem praktischen iPhone einsetzen.

Ein bisschen geekier, können Sie auch SMS und IMs über iChat über die Befehlszeile mit diesem einfachen Bash-Skript senden, obwohl Sie ein AIM-Konto konfiguriert haben müssen (in den Kommentaren auf MacOSXHints finden, Kredit an ihren Benutzer 'unten' ):
